David Tavares, 21 years old, Benfica midfielder, with two games for the main team, was arrested this Sunday afternoon for lack of a driving license, in an operation of the Lisbon PSP in the Tunnel of the Cricket that checked if the drivers had valid reason for walking on the road during the state of emergency.
Tiago Pinto, director for football, went to the Traffic Division to accompany David Tavares.
“A disciplinary process will be opened corresponding to the unfortunate and thoughtless act of the player,” said the same source of the eagles, adding that “it was the first time that David Tavares has put himself in such a situation”.
